The 5th ranked UNC men’s basketball team (27-6 overall, 14-4 in the ACC regular season) play in the semi-finals of the ACC men’s basketball tournament at 5:00 p.m. Friday, March 10, against 14th ranked dook university (25-8 overall and 11-7 in the ACC regular season). The Tar Heels defeated the University of Miami, 78-53, in a quarterfinal game this morning. The dookies defeated Louisville, 81-77, today.
The Arizona Carolina Club will watch the game at the Half Moon Windy City Sports Grill, 2121 E. Highland Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85016, phone:(602) 977-2700. The games will be played in Brooklyn, NY (a “home” game for dook—why does the ACC allow that to happen?).
If the Heels win Friday, they will play in the title game at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 11 (opponent to be determined). Half Moon has reserved tables for us in the dugout (where the pool table is located) on Friday and in the back room on Saturday. We will have sound for both games.
On Friday, we expect some of you to arrive at some time during the first half because of the early starting time. We will have enough seats for everyone, but please let me know if you plan to attend by emailing ron@loganlf.com and the anticipated number in your group. Please indicate if you plan to attend on Saturday.
